The show

Being a small business operating from a workshop and selling online it's important that we stretch our legs and get out and meet our customers.Scarlett's Best Of The Christmas Shows  The same can be said of most of the other exhibitors at the Christmas shows we do each year - craft fairs and exhibitions like these are essential to our businesses as a pop-up shop.    Most years we exhibit at The Spirit Of Christmas Fair in Olympia, and The Country Living Christmas Fair at the business design centre in Islington  - London is a busy place and these shows are always a great lead up to the busy season .   The  fantastic  atmosphere at these shows gets us all in the mood to start making plans, booking time off, and of course thinking about what to buy for our loved ones  - truly setting the mood for Christmas.

These shows are an easy way to choose something original  and we are proud to sit alongside many other designer makers, small business and artisan designers,  and  we wanted to share our favourite exhibitors  and nice finds with you  - if you weren't able to attend the shows in person these  small  business offer something unique and original that's worth checking out  when you're thinking of Christmas gifts this year.

Heyland and Whittle

Ok so I'm biased to this lovely company as  a long time friend is married to  one of the Heyland  girls , but  I remain  unbiased  as I've purchased a LOT of scented candles in recent years, and these are simply perfect. they simply make the finest scented home wares, as endorsed by John Lewis, harrows to name a few. Our  faves -  coconut, vanilla & black pepper candle.

The Magic Door Store

These gorgeous victorian styled 'fairy doors' are a lovely gift for a youngster to bring a touch of magic into their bedrooms.  The fairy door sits on the wall above their skirting board - the question is will they be asleep when the fairies pay a visit?

Jack perfume

It wouldn't be right not to mention this iconic stand from this year's show - founded by Richard E Grant with his Children, the legendary actor was there all week giving out sprays of this gorgeous perfume.  One spray lasted all day and lifted that tired feeling having been on our feet all day behind the stand

Triumph and Disaster

Men are usually hard to buy for, but if they are the kind that takes pride in their appearance & skin care regime then Triumph And Disaster bring an organic and skin kind solution.  With their bold black & modern packaging they look the part, and the products themselves are gorgeous.  I snapped up the exfoliant cream for a well-kept friend's Christmas stocking.

Carved Angel

So everyone loves the food hall right? Snooping around getting a free taste of some nice cheese perhaps, or a sneak nibble of some chilli chocolate?  We were tempted by The Carved Angel and impressed by their range of amazing pickles, chutneys and sweet treats.  Our faves - the passion fruit curd and the garlic chilli pickle - it's to die for!

Tada & Toy

This jewellery company are the hits of 2015 having appeared in Vogue, Elle...too many to list!  As much as I'm loyal to Scarlett there's nothing wrong with treating yourself to someone elses jewellery, and after two weeks of coveting their gorgeous rose gold pieces I had to have one!  And their packaging is gorgeous too.  Definitely something for the city life.

Bespoke Verse
Gorgeous and well designed cards and gifts of words - such an easy thing to buy for so many people - the trouble we had was choosing who was going to be lucky enough to get one?!
